Alimentary Canal

Pharynx is a common passage for both air and food. pharynx is divided into 3 parts. namely Naso-Pharynx, Oro-Pharynx, Laryngeal-Pharynx 

Esophagus is a straight tube. it has an upper esophagal sphincter, and lower cardiac sphincter.
 Stomach: it is a j shaped organ. it stores food for 4-5 hours. it is divided into 3 regions. namely cardiac, fundic, pyloric regions. 
Small Intestine. it is large portion of alimentary canal. it is divided into jejunum, ileum, colon, rectum.


Large Intestine is have 3 parts. they are cecum, colon, rectum. 
Colon divided into 4 parts. ascending, transverse, descending, sigmoid colon
cecum have some symbiotic bacteria.
