Histology of alimentary canal



from esophagus to the rectum the wall of alimentary canal have 4 layers namely serosa, muscularis externa, sub mucosa and mucosa.
 

 Serosa: outermost layer. made by thin mesothelium
Muscularis Externa formed by smooth muscles. divided into outer longitudinal, inner cicular muscles.
Sub mucosa: formed by connective tissue.
mucosa: innermost layer.
