Digestion in Intestine

Image
Digestion and absorption class 8 intestine is the major portion of digestion and absorption. succus entericus released from the wall of small intestine. and in that intestinal juice there is an enzyme activator. which activates the inactive forms of trypsin and chymotrypsin to their active form. and the activated trypsin act as enzyme activator and convert its inactive trypsinogen into active trypsin.this reaction is known as auto catalysis.    proteins, carbohydrates, fats and nucleic acids are digested here.by the action of proteoses, disaccharidases , lipases, nucleosidases and nucleotidases.  Bile salts play an important role in lipid digestion. click here for complete lecture

Digestion and absorption class 7 Pancreas is 2nd largest gland in body. it is present between the c shaped limbs of duodenum. it is leaf like structure and mixed gland. exocrine part of pancreas release pancreatic juice. which is essential for digestion. duct of pancreas and bile duct unite to form hepato-pancreatic duct. and it enter into duodenum. this duct is controlled by sphincter of oddi. endocrine part of pancreas is known as Islets of Langerhans. which release hormones like insulin, glucagon etc.. click here for complete lecture

Structure and Functions of Liver

Digestion and absorption class 6 Liver is largest gland. it secrete bile juice. liver is divided into 2 lobes. in each lobe, there are several lobules. known as hepatic lobules which are structural and functional units of liver. in each hepatic lobule there is central vein in which blood drain. at each angle of hepatic lobule there is 4 ducts. know as portal tetraid.  Liver play key role in metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, fats it has imp role in deamination and detoxification. it act as thermoregulatory organ, erythropoetic organ in child. erythroclastic organ in adult To watch complete lecture click here
