Pancreas is 2nd largest gland in body. it is present between the c shaped limbs of duodenum. it is leaf like structure and mixed gland. exocrine part of pancreas release pancreatic juice. which is essential for digestion.


duct of pancreas and bile duct unite to form hepato-pancreatic duct. and it enter into duodenum. this duct is controlled by sphincter of oddi.
endocrine part of pancreas is known as Islets of Langerhans. which release hormones like insulin, glucagon etc..
